Who is Scott Pryor?

Scott Pryor is a Georgia trial attorney who founded The Scott Pryor Law Group and leads it as CEO and managing attorney. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and member of the State Bar of Georgia, he opened his own practice right after passing the Georgia bar and now focuses on personal injury litigation.

Scott is a founding partner, trial attorney and advocate. He spent the early years of his career in the courtroom, trying cases nonstop and building a foundation of trial experience. That background shapes how the firm works today: every case is prepared for trial.

Before he focused on injury cases, Scott worked in complex civil litigation. Right after law school he represented several Rock and Roll Hall of Fame clients. In New York he defended one of them and secured a copyright portfolio that was threatened by a fraudulent loan collateralization. He has also lectured nationally and internationally on legal topics.

One of the cases closest to his heart was for a family whose mother was killed by a negligent commercial driver. Scott secured a result in that wrongful death trucking case in Greenville County, South Carolina, that set a county record for a case of its kind. What is Scott Pryor's education and bar admission?

The Scott Pryor Law Group's founder, Scott Pryor, earned his Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law, where he made the Dean's List. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bob Jones University and a Master of Liberal Arts in Economics from Converse College. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.

Hamline awarded him a partial academic scholarship. During law school he served on the board of the Minnesota Justice Foundation, was a member of the Law Review and competed in the mediation moot court competition.

He completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees in South Carolina while serving in the Marine Corps. After law school, he opened his own law practice right after passing the Georgia bar.

The State Bar of Georgia is the governing body of the legal profession in the state, operating under the supervision of the Supreme Court of Georgia. Membership is a condition of admission to practice law in Georgia.

What is Scott Pryor's background?

Scott Pryor is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and trained mediator who was born in Billings, Montana, and raised in Wyoming and Indiana. He turned down a wrestling scholarship to serve in the Marines, later founded The Scott Pryor Law Group in Georgia, and lives in the Atlanta area with his wife and three sons.

He has been competitive since childhood. By age ten he had won five state championships in two wrestling styles. He later earned a black belt in Isshin-ryū karate and won multiple national championship tournaments.

In the Marine Corps he earned numerous awards and letters of appreciation for leadership, performance and community service, while working his way through undergraduate and graduate school in South Carolina. He also spent a summer in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Russia, studying language and culture.

His mediation training began in law school. He became a trained mediator, mediated cases in St. Paul, Minnesota, and studied cross-cultural mediation in emerging democracies in Budapest, Hungary. Outside the law, he is a recording artist who tours the United States with his band, Warchild.
