Philip Lorenz Attorney

SENIOR LITIGATION ATTORNEY

Philip W. (“Phil”) Lorenz is a seasoned trial attorney. Phil has tried, mediated, or facilitated settlement of tens of millions of dollars in claims and lawsuits over the course of his career. As a testament to his success, Phil has been included in the Martindale-Hubbell® Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys™ Award for 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, been Martindale-Hubbell® AV Peer-Preeminent Rated™ in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 and listed as one of Georgia’s Top-Rated Lawyers in Personal Injury for 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2018.

As a result of this experience, Phil understands how insurance adjusters and insurance defense attorneys evaluate a claim, the standard of proof necessary to substantiate an injured individual’s claims, and how those claims are valued by the adjuster. Now, Phil uses his in-depth knowledge and experience of insurance companies for the benefit of his clients who have been injured through the negligence of others to maximize their recovery. Phil is also a registered Civil Mediator and uses that training to benefit his clients during any court-ordered or agreed-upon mediation.

Phil graduated from Emory University School of Law in 2001, where he was the 2000 Georgia Civil Justice Foundation Scholar and the Spring 2001 Legal Intern to the Hon. J.D. Smith at the Court of Appeals of Georgia. Phil received his undergraduate degree in Political Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, where he was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Sigma Alpha honor societies. Prior to completing his education, Phil served with distinction in the United States Navy, attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer and was decorated by the Commanders of both the U.S. Pacific and Atlantic Fleets.
